Race Five: Indianapolis 500.
MARCO FINISHED A CLOSE 3RD
at the Indianapolis 500 on May 25th. Marco drove an increasingly strong race, leading the race several times in the closing stages in a racec dominated by cautions and crashes.

Earlier in the race Marco was involved in controversy when he tried to pass teammate Kanaan on the inside. Kanaan was the race leader and his car had slid high in the third turn wall after he had to turn away from Andretti to keep from taking both drivers out. Tony hit the wall, and then moved in front of Sarah Fisher, an incident that took both drivers out of the race.

"As a team, we did an awesome job all month. The Indiana Jones/Blockbuster car was one of the ones to beat the entire month. We made a team decision to do what we did over the final couple of stints. If it works, we’re in the lead with clean air in front of us. Unfortunately, we missed, but we missed as a team. We finished third and were able to get good points. Our goal is to win a championship, so we’re moving on."

Ziggy Harcus, Race Strategist, added "I think Marco drove an excellent race today and I think we had a shot at winning it. A couple of things didn’t go our way in the pits but Marco did a great job today. The Indiana Jones/Blockbuster team has a lot to be proud of and I’m pretty happy with our result."
